Day 11 – Divine Presence and Spiritual Authority

Genesis 28–29
Mark 11

God often meets people when they least expect it. In Genesis chapters 28 and 29, Jacob is on the run when God meets him. An ordinary place becomes holy ground. God’s promise does not rest on Jacob’s strength, but on God’s presence. In Mark chapter 11, Jesus enters Jerusalem with quiet authority. His power does not come from control or position, but from obedience to God. Together, these readings show that God’s presence changes both places and people.

Taken together, these passages show us something important. God’s presence gives meaning to ordinary moments, and true spiritual authority grows out of walking closely with Him.

What does this mean for us today? Here are three simple and practical steps shaped by these readings.

First, write down one moment from this past week when you sensed God’s presence or guidance, even in something small.

Second, bring one challenge to God in prayer today instead of trying to handle it on your own.

Third, choose one Christ-like attitude, such as patience, kindness, or self-control. Practice it intentionally in a difficult relationship.

As you continue through your day, remember this. God is present in ordinary places, and He is shaping you even when you do not notice it.

Thank you for joining me today. Stay attentive to God’s presence and let it guide how you live. Until tomorrow, may His nearness steady your heart.
