Day 18 – Reconciliation and Living by Faith
👆 Genesis 45–46
👆 Psalm 108
👆 Galatians 2
Healing often begins when truth and grace come together. In Genesis chapters 45 and 46, Joseph reveals himself to his brothers. He chooses forgiveness over revenge and trusts that God has been at work through every loss and delay. Psalm 108 speaks with steady confidence, praising God even while challenges remain. In Galatians chapter 2, Paul defends the heart of the gospel. Freedom, he says, comes through faith in Christ, not through striving to earn approval. These readings point us toward a life shaped by grace rather than fear.
Across these readings, one message rises to the surface. God brings healing and freedom through reconciliation and a life rooted in faith, not performance.
So how do we respond today? Here are three simple and practical steps shaped by today’s readings.
First, identify one past hurt you are still holding onto. Ask God to help you release it into His care, even if the healing feels incomplete.
Second, spend a few minutes thanking God for one difficult situation where you can now see His hand at work, even faintly.
Third, do one quiet act of service today as an expression of faith, without drawing attention to yourself.
As you step back into the rhythm of your day, remember this. God’s grace makes room for forgiveness, restores broken places, and frees you from the pressure to prove yourself.
Thank you for joining me today. Live by faith in what Christ has already done, and allow grace to shape how you relate to others. Until tomorrow, may freedom guide the way you walk.
