Day 29 – Sacred Space and Lasting Joy
Exodus 25–27
Psalm 90
Philippians 1
God chooses to dwell near His people, and He teaches them how to approach Him. In Exodus chapters 25 to 27, every detail of the tabernacle matters. God is not distant. He is present, and reverence shapes the way people draw close. Psalm 90 pulls our attention to time itself. Life is brief and fragile, and wisdom grows when we live with that truth in mind. In Philippians chapter 1, Paul writes from prison with surprising joy. His circumstances are hard, yet his confidence rests in God’s presence and purpose. These readings show that reverence and joy are not opposites. They belong together.
When we listen to these readings side by side, a clear truth emerges. God invites us to honor His presence with care while learning to live with deep joy that does not depend on comfort.
So what might faithfulness look like today? Here are three simple and practical steps shaped by today’s readings.
First, follow God’s guidance carefully in one small decision today, treating it as an act of worship rather than routine.
Second, choose joy in one situation that would normally discourage you, not by denying difficulty, but by trusting God’s nearness within it.
Third, set aside a specific time or place today to be with God without distractions, even if only for a few quiet minutes.
As you go into the rest of this day, hold on to this. Reverence keeps us grounded, and joy grows when God’s presence becomes our anchor.
Thank you for joining me today. Approach God thoughtfully and let lasting joy take root beyond changing circumstances. Until tomorrow, may wisdom and quiet joy shape how you live.
