Day 30 – Sacred Service and Humble Hearts

Exodus 28–31
Philippians 2

Service to God begins beneath the surface. In Exodus chapters 28 to 31, careful attention is given to garments, spaces, and craftsmanship. Nothing is casual. Everything is prepared with intention. Worship is treated as holy because God is present. In Philippians chapter 2, Paul points us to Jesus. He does not cling to power or status. He lowers Himself and serves. These readings remind us that holiness is shaped by reverence toward God and humility toward others.

Across these readings, one message rises to the surface. True holiness is expressed through reverent worship and humble service, shaped by the example of Christ.

How do we live this out in simple ways? Here are three practical steps for today.

First, prepare your heart intentionally before one moment of prayer, worship, or Scripture reading today. Slow down and remember who you are approaching.

Second, choose one interaction where you will place another person’s needs ahead of your own, even if it costs you time or comfort.

Third, use one gift or skill you have to serve someone quietly and sincerely, without drawing attention to yourself.

As today unfolds, keep this in mind. Reverence before God shapes humility toward people, and small acts of service carry lasting meaning.

Thank you for joining me today. Serve with humility and approach God with care. Until tomorrow, may the mind of Christ guide how you live and love.
