Day 48 – Set Apart and Renewed

Numbers 15–18
Psalm 113
Colossians 3

Belonging to God changes how life is lived. In Numbers chapters 15 to 18, God reinforces instructions for worship and leadership. Holiness is not abstract. It is expressed through obedience, responsibility, and respect for what God has established. Even after failure, God provides structure that helps His people move forward. Psalm 113 lifts our attention upward in praise. The Lord is exalted above all, yet He notices the lowly and lifts them up. In Colossians chapter 3, believers are urged to leave behind old patterns and step into a new life shaped by Christ.

When we listen to these readings side by side, a clear truth emerges. God sets His people apart so they can live renewed lives shaped by Christ.

So how do we respond today? Here are three simple and practical steps shaped by today’s readings.

First, identify one attitude or habit that no longer fits your new life in Christ. Bring it before God and ask for help to leave it behind.

Second, choose one Christ-like quality—such as patience, kindness, or humility—and practice it intentionally today.

Third, honor God’s order and authority in one practical way, whether through respect, responsibility, or obedience.

As you carry this into your day, remember this. Renewal happens step by step as we allow Christ to shape both our attitudes and our actions.

Thank you for joining me today. Leave behind what no longer belongs to you and walk forward in the life Christ is forming. Until tomorrow, may renewal guide your choices.
