Day 58 – Trusting God’s Authority

Deuteronomy 15–18
Psalm 115
Luke 9

God alone deserves our trust. In Deuteronomy chapters 15 to 18, Moses gives guidance about generosity, leadership, justice, and spiritual direction. These instructions remind Israel that their life together must reflect confidence in God rather than dependence on human power. Psalm 115 draws a sharp contrast. The living God acts with power and purpose, while idols remain silent and empty. In Luke chapter 9, Jesus reveals His authority through teaching, miracles, and the call to discipleship. Following Him means surrender, faith, and a willingness to carry the cross.

Across these readings, one message rises to the surface. True life and freedom come from trusting God’s authority rather than human power or false security.

How do we live this out in simple ways? Here are three practical steps for today.

First, identify one area where you rely more on human solutions than on God’s guidance. Bring it before Him honestly.

Second, practice generosity or compassion toward someone who is in need today.

Third, take one step of obedience that reflects trust in Jesus’ leadership.

As you carry this into your day, remember this. Trust grows stronger when we place God’s voice above every competing influence.

Thank you for joining me today. Follow Christ with a willing heart and let His authority guide your path. Until tomorrow, may trust shape your decisions.
