Strength can be misleading when it is not grounded in obedience. In Judges chapters 12 to 16, Samson’s life unfolds with both power and weakness. He is gifted, yet careless. Strong, yet vulnerable. His story shows how easily strength can be undone by desire and misplaced trust. Still, God’s purposes are not stopped. Psalm 146 shifts our focus. It calls us to place our trust not in human strength, but in the Lord who remains faithful forever. In Luke chapter 24, everything changes. The resurrection of Jesus turns sorrow into hope. Death is not the end. God’s power brings life where none was possible.

These readings point us to a steady truth. God’s life-giving power surpasses human strength and overcomes failure and death.

So how do we respond today? Here are three simple and practical steps shaped by today’s readings.

First, identify one area where you rely on your own strength instead of God’s help.

Second, turn one weakness into a prayer of dependence today.

Third, live with resurrection hope by choosing faith over discouragement.

As you go through your day, remember this. Real strength is found in trusting the God who brings life out of weakness.
