Day 74
Use Left/Right to seek, Home/End to jump to start or end. Hold shift to jump forward or backward.
Explore the contrast between self-direction and divine guidance as we journey through Judges 17-18, Psalm 21, and Acts 1, discovering how seeking God's direction and depending on His strength leads to purpose and power.
Day 74 - False Worship and True Power
Judges 17–18
Psalm 21
Acts 1
Faith can drift when it becomes shaped by convenience. In Judges chapters 17 and 18, people begin to create their own forms of worship. What feels right replaces what God has said. The result is confusion and spiritual emptiness. Psalm 21 offers a clear contrast. It celebrates strength that comes from trusting the Lord, not from human effort. In Acts chapter 1, the risen Jesus redirects His followers. They are not to chase timelines or speculation. Instead, they are called to wait, to trust, and to receive power from the Holy Spirit for the mission ahead.
Together, these readings point us to a clear truth. False worship leads to confusion, but true power comes from trusting God and obeying His call.
So how do we respond today? Here are three simple and practical steps shaped by today’s readings.
First, examine one belief or habit and ask if it is shaped by God’s word or by convenience.
Second, trust God’s strength instead of your own ability in one challenge you face today.
Third, pray for openness to the Holy Spirit’s guidance in your decisions.
As you move through your day, remember this. Real power does not come from control, but from obedience and dependence on God.
Thank you for joining me today. Stay rooted in truth and walk in the strength God provides. Until tomorrow, may His Spirit lead you with clarity and purpose.
