Day 75 - Chaos, Renewal, and the Spirit

Judges 19–21
Acts 2

When people set aside God’s ways, life begins to unravel. In Judges chapters 19 to 21, we see a society in deep confusion. Violence increases. Morality collapses. Everyone follows their own judgment. There is no steady center. Yet this is not the end of the story. In Acts chapter 2, a new beginning unfolds. The Holy Spirit is poured out. Fear gives way to boldness. Division is replaced by unity. God’s people are formed again, not by their own effort, but by His presence within them.

These passages stand in sharp contrast, yet they lead to one clear truth. Human self-rule leads to chaos, but God’s Spirit brings renewal and unity.

So how do we respond today? Here are three simple and practical steps shaped by today’s readings.

First, identify one area where you are tempted to follow your own way instead of God’s truth.

Second, invite the Holy Spirit to guide one decision or conversation today.

Third, strengthen unity by encouraging or praying with someone in your faith community.

As you go through your day, remember this. Where God’s Spirit is welcomed, life begins to take shape again.

Thank you for joining me today. Turn from self-direction and walk in step with the Spirit. Until tomorrow, may renewal begin quietly and grow steadily within you.
