Day 80 – God’s Kingship and Courage

1 Samuel 6–8
Acts 7

People often look for what they can see and control. In 1 Samuel chapters 6 to 8, Israel witnesses God’s power and holiness. Yet they ask for a human king. They want security they can see. Their request reveals a struggle to trust God’s rule. Still, God remains patient. He warns them, but He does not abandon them. In Acts chapter 7, Stephen tells the story of God’s faithfulness. He speaks boldly, even when it costs him his life. His courage shows a heart fully surrendered to God as King.

When we listen to these readings side by side, a clear truth emerges. God alone is King, calling for trust and courageous faithfulness.

So how do we respond today? Here are three simple and practical steps shaped by today’s readings.

First, identify one area where you are seeking security apart from trusting God.

Second, affirm God’s kingship through prayer or worship today.

Third, speak truth with humility and courage in one situation.

As you carry this into your day, remember this. Trusting God as King gives you strength to stand firm when it matters most.

Thank you for joining me today. Choose trust over control and walk with courage in God’s truth. Until tomorrow, may His authority guide your steps.
