Scripture in Action
Day 92
Use Left/Right to seek, Home/End to jump to start or end. Hold shift to jump forward or backward.
Explore the contrasts between faithful and unfaithful responses to God through Saul's desperate consultation with a medium, the faithful returnees to Jerusalem, and Paul's powerful ministry in Ephesus that confronted both spiritual darkness and economic idolatry.
Day 92 – Light, Deception, and True Power
1 Samuel 28–29
1 Chronicles 9
Acts 19
When pressure rises, the temptation to look for quick answers grows stronger. In 1 Samuel chapters 28 and 29, Saul reaches a point of desperation and seeks guidance apart from God. What he finds is not clarity, but emptiness. At the same time, God quietly protects David by removing him from a situation that could have led to compromise. Even when it is not obvious, God is at work. 1 Chronicles 9 shows the rebuilding of worship after a season of loss, reminding us that God restores what has been neglected when His people return to Him. In Acts chapter 19, the power of God is revealed clearly as people turn away from false practices and respond to the truth. What once held influence loses its grip when confronted with the reality of Christ.
Together, these passages reveal a steady truth. True spiritual power and guidance come only from God, not from substitutes or shortcuts.
So how do we respond today? Here are three simple and practical steps shaped by today’s readings.
First, identify one place where you are turning for guidance or comfort instead of God.
Second, bring one area of confusion or fear directly to God in prayer.
Third, step away from one influence that draws you away from trusting Him.
As you move through your day, remember this. What promises quick control often leads to confusion, but what comes from God brings clarity and life.
Thank you for joining me today. Seek Him fully, trust Him deeply, and walk in the light He provides.
