Day 93 – Strengthened, Finished, and Faithful

Faith is often revealed in how we respond at our lowest point. In 1 Samuel  30, David faces deep loss and exhaustion. Everything around him feels uncertain. Yet instead of giving in to despair, he turns to God and finds strength. From that place, he leads with clarity, restores what was lost, and shows generosity rather than bitterness. In contrast, 1 Samuel 31 and 1 Chronicles 10 recount the end of Saul’s life. His story closes in fear and isolation, a sobering reminder of what happens when trust in God is replaced with self-reliance. In Acts chapter 20, Paul looks back on his journey. He speaks with humility and resolve, not focused on comfort, but on finishing well.

Together, these passages reveal a steady truth. God strengthens those who turn to Him and calls His people to finish faithfully.

So how do we respond today? Here are three simple and practical steps shaped by today’s readings.

First, bring one discouragement to God and draw strength from Him.

Second, choose gratitude and generosity over bitterness after loss.

Third, recommit to finishing one responsibility with faithfulness.

As you move through your day, remember this. Strength is renewed when you turn to God, and faithfulness is shaped in the choices you make along the way.
