Day 115 – Wisdom Shaped by Love
Proverbs 14–15
Romans 14
Today’s readings remind us that wisdom is revealed not only by what we know, but by how we relate to others. Proverbs 14 and 15 contrast paths that seem right to us with the outcomes they produce, highlighting humility, careful speech, and a teachable spirit. Romans 14 carries these lessons into community life, urging believers to avoid judgment, respect one another’s consciences, and pursue peace over personal preference. Together, these passages show that God’s wisdom leads us away from pride and self-assertion and toward love that builds others up and protects unity.
Taken together, these readings teach us that true wisdom expresses itself through humility, restraint, and love for others.
So what can we do with today’s readings? Here are three simple and practical steps.
First, pause before offering an opinion today and consider whether it will build up or divide.
Second, practice patience in one conversation where emotions or disagreements arise.
Third, limit a personal freedom today out of love for someone else’s conscience.
As you go about your day, remember that wisdom is not proven by winning arguments. It is revealed by the way we love people, preserve peace, and place the good of others ahead of ourselves.
Thank you for joining me today. Let God’s wisdom shape your relationships through humility, patience, and love. Until tomorrow, may His peace guide your words and His love direct your actions.
